How much is an Acorn Private Clinic gift card?
Our standard gift card is £260 — the price of a single-area ultrasound scan, our most popular service. The voucher can be used towards any service we offer, with any difference paid (or remaining balance kept on the voucher) on the day.
What can the gift card be used for?
Any service Acorn Private Clinic offers, including: ultrasound scans (any body area), REMS bone density scans, private GP consultations, blood tests, ECG, ultrasound-guided injections, minor surgery (lump removal, carpal tunnel), and private MRI (referral required). View our full price list.
How do I buy a gift card?
Two simple ways: call us on 029 2199 9300 during opening hours and we'll process payment by card over the phone, or visit either clinic (Penarth or Cowbridge). You'll receive the voucher by email within minutes, or as a printed card in a sealed envelope if buying in person.
Can the recipient use the voucher at any clinic?
Yes — the voucher is redeemable at both our Penarth (CF64 2AD) and Cowbridge (CF71 7AG) clinics. For MRI, the scan takes place at Asda Pentwyn in Cardiff (referral required).
How long is the voucher valid for?
Six months from the date of purchase. We'll print the expiry date clearly on the voucher and send a friendly reminder email if it's getting close to expiring.
What happens if the service costs more than the voucher?
The recipient just pays the difference at the clinic on the day. For example, if your £260 voucher is used towards a steroid injection (£350), they pay the £90 difference at their appointment.
What if the service costs less than the voucher?
The remaining balance stays on the voucher for future use within the 6-month validity period. For example, a £260 voucher used for a £95 GP consultation leaves £165 to use on a follow-up scan or blood test.
Can I get a refund on the gift card?
Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash — please make sure you're certain before purchasing. If the recipient changes their mind, the voucher can be transferred to another person before redemption.
Do I need to know which service the recipient wants?
No — that's the whole point. You buy a £260 voucher, and the recipient picks whichever appointment suits them when they're ready. Perfect when you're not sure exactly what they need.
Can I get a physical voucher I can wrap?
Yes — pop into either clinic and we'll print the voucher onto a card in a sealed envelope ready to be wrapped. Buying by phone? We can post a physical voucher on request.
Can I personalise the voucher with a message?
Yes — just let us know when you buy and we'll add a personal message and the recipient's name to the voucher.
