Dr Tom Micic is a Consultant Radiologist with dual training in adult and paediatric imaging. At Acorn, he leads our dedicated children's ultrasound service.
In the NHS, Dr Micic provides a tertiary-level paediatric radiology service at the Children's Hospital for Wales in Cardiff and at the Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend — covering everything from neonatal scans to teenage sports injuries.
He is actively involved in teaching and research and leads the training programme for paediatric radiology at the National Imaging Academy of Wales. Parents bring children to Dr Micic from across Cardiff, Bridgend and the Vale of Glamorgan when they want a senior paediatric-trained eye on their child's scan.
Beyond paediatrics, Dr Micic also reports general adult ultrasound and is one of the calm, child-friendly presences who makes a scan feel routine rather than scary.
